Mark Schonwetter
Mark Schonwetter, born in 1933 in Brzostek, Poland, survived the Holocaust by hiding with
his mother and sister for three years after his father was taken by the Gestapo. He emigrated to
the U.S. in 1961 and later founded the Mark Schonwetter Holocaust Education Foundation with his daughters to promote Holocaust education. His story is told in the book Together: A Journey for Survival, and he often speaks with his daughters to inspire kindness and combat hate.
